Four notable alumni from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will be honored at the 2025 Homecoming Honors Banquet: Dr. Gerardo Flores ’02 , Sandra Alvarez ’12, and Dr. Jordan Thurston ’20. These individuals represent the university’s legacy of excellence both on campus and in their communities.

Dr. Gerardo Flores ’02
The highest honor bestowed upon an alumnus. It is given to those alumni with dedication to the University, excellence in their profession, and impact on society.

OUTSTANDING
Sandra Alvarez ’12
Given to those alumni who, exemplify the core values of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, and respect through their profession and community service.

YOUNG
Dr. Jordan Thurston ’20
Given to those alumni who have graduated in the past 10 years from TAMU-CC. This individual has made quick strides in their community and profession.
