DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD

Gerardo “Jerry” Flores ‘02 – Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer, Christus Health

Given annually to an alumnus who has differentiated themselves by obtaining the highest level of professional accomplishment, and who possess the utmost integrity and character to positively reflect and enhance the prestige of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. It is the highest honor for a TAMU-CC Alumnus.

OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARD

Sandra Alvarez ‘12 – Principal Owner and CEO of Alvarez Business 

Given to an Alumnus who exemplifies the core values of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, and respect through selfless service and excellence in their profession and career.

YOUNG ALUMNI AWARD

Jordan Thurston ’20 – Senior Vice President Citi Group

Given annually to an Alumnus who has distinguished themselves by obtaining a high level of accomplishment early in their career and who possess the highest standards of integrity and character to positively reflect and enhance the prestige of TAMU-CC. The candidate must be 40 years of age or younger and have graduated within the previous 10 years.

ATHLETIC HALL OF HONOR

The Athletic Hall of Honor will be open to persons who have made significant contributions to Islanders Athletics.
