Thats right, Islanders! Anchors Aweigh is what brings alumni back to the Island University campus during daytime classes to connect with students as we all paint the anchor white together – continuing one of our longest school traditions dating back to the 40s and 50s. The Student Alumni Association is the student-led organization that proudly keeps the tradition alive! Put on your Islander blue tee and join us on campus!

Today, Anchors Aweigh is a daytime Islanders spirit party held in Anchor Plaza next to the University Center! Music, confetti, giveaways, snacks and paintbrushes will all be part of the celebration.
